How quickly will my young person pick up the Scout lingo?
Scouts is a youth led organisation, your young person will be well supported within their unit and patrol. The leaders will provide information and the very first badge that your young person earns will provide all the information they need to get the gist of it.
Do I need special equipment to join ?
Cubs, Scouts and Venturers hike, camp and live life large so basic hiking shoes, a good back pack and a drink bottle is a great start. For camps there are personal sleeping equipment and clothes for the environment however the Scout group provides all the tents and other equipment.
Can adults join as well ?
